Yamunotri Gangotri Do Dham Yatra (05N/06D)

Haridwar - Barkot

This day we start comfortably after having breakfast and early morning bathing in Ganga. Normally from Haridwar to Barko takes 07 hrs comfortable with a short break in Kampty fall if prefferd othersie with a non stop stretch we can reach in 06 Hrs. Normally in peak season time there is heavy rush in Mussoorie so sometimes we can divert the route to Barkot va Vikas Nagar. In this case Kampty fall sight-seeing can be discarded under last moment decision. Upon reaching Barkot , we will have dinner and retired for the day & Night Halt.

Barkot – Yamunotri- Barkot Each side:-O/N stay in Barkot –

Early Morning leave for Janki Chatti via Hanuman Chatti & Fool Chatti. On arrival Janki Chatti start Trek of 06 kms for Yamunotri, On Arrive Yamunotri Holi Dip in Garam Kund, than Pooja and Darshan of Shree Yamunotri Ji, after Darshan and Pooja, afternoon start trek back to Janki Chatti on arrival Janki Chatti meet with driver and drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Hanuman Chatti: The confluence of Hanuman Ganga & Yamuna River. Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again.

Surya Kund: There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund. Divya Shila: A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.

Barkot - Uttarkashi

Late morning Drive to Uttarkashi after breakfast by 10 AM. After trek to Yamunotri just a day before you might be tired so this is the day grab your full nap and take proper rest because the distance between Barkot to Uttarkashi is just 04 hrs and we have planned this to keep you relaxed. Because onward journey will be gradually tiring as in between the destinations distance and road travel will be increased. Visit Vishwanath Temple before you check in to your hotel. Check in Hotel. Rest day at leisure. Night Halt.

Uttarkashi: Uttarkashi is a small and beautiful town, situated between two rivers; Varuna and Ashi, whose water flow into the Bhagirathi from either side of the town. Elevated, at a height of 1588 meters, this little town is very similar to Kashi and Varanasi, in that it has the same kind of temples and ghats and likewise, a north or 'uttar' facing river. The major temple is the Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Two other very important temples are located in the Chowk area. These are the Annapurna Temple and the Bhairav Temple. It is said, that once there were 365 temples here. Hiuen Tsang referred to this place as Brahma Puran, while the Skanda Puran has recorded it as Varunavata. It is believed that in the second millennium of Kaliyug, Kashi will be submerged, and Uttarkashi will replace it as an important religious centre. Visit Kashi Vishwanath, Uttarkashi + Aadi Shakti Mata Darshan (Mahisasur Mardini).

Rituals & Activities: Get chance to perform Abhishek Puja in Kashi Vishwanath Temple.Upon reaching Ganganani visit Parasar Muni Temple, enjoy bathing in Hot water spring (Tapt Kund). Your body will be completely relaxed after the tiring trek of Yamnotri.

Uttarkashi – Ganganani- Gangotri – Harsil – Uttarkashi round trip. O/N Stay in Uttarakashi.

With packed breakfast & post Tea/ Coffee leave for Gangotri early in the morning. Offering prayers & pooja darshan, later drive back to Uttarkashi , en route visit Gangnani. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Gangotri: Gangotri temple is 18th Century temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga. It is located near a sacred stone where king Bhagirath worshipped Lord Shiva Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this spot. Accordingly to another legend, Pandavas performed the great Deva Yagna here to a tone the death of their kinsmen in the epic battle of Mahabharata. The temple is an exquisite 20 ft. high structure made of white granite.

Gangnani: Further up on way to Gangotri, is the hot water spring at Gangnani, where one can have refreshing bath in the kund called Rishikund. There is a temple near the kund dedicated to the Sage Parashar, believed to be the father of Ved Vyas.

Ritual and Activities: Perform Snan at Gangotri Ghat (VIP Ghat), Ganga Pujan & Aarti at Gangotri Ghat , Darshan of Bhagirath Shila ,Darshan of Gauri Ganesha Temple, Finally Gangotri Temple Darshan after that you must have Darshan of Surya Kund. While returning Darshan of Gupteshwar Mahadev temple in Dharali , Interact with Tibetan Culture and people in Harsil.

Uttarkashi –Rishikesh-Haridwar – .S/S Rishikesh. O/N stay in Haridwar.

Early morning after breakfast, we will proceed to Rishikesh and on the way we will have mesmerizing view of Tehri Lake. Arrive Rishikesh and you will visit Laxamn Jhula and Ram Jhula on your own as this is not motorable. Vehicle will wait for you in parking. Best way to visit this part of Rishikesh is to enter by Laxman Jhula and exit from Ram Jhula. You can also see many Ghats and temples and beautiful Ashrams. Rishikesh is next home of Sadhus & Saints. It is also called Capital land of Yoga. You need to keep watch on time if you have missed your Ganga Aarti on day 01 upon arrival to Haridwar. So it is in your hand how fast you finish your sight-seeing and reach Har-Ki-Pouri, Haridwar for Ganga Aarti. It generally starts by 06:00 PM in Summers and 5:15 PM in winters. Those who have enjoyed on day 01 can have opportunity to enjoy some more time in Rishikesh. Late evening before dinner reach Haridwar. This is your last day and evening so must have to arrange your bags and pack. Evening you can enjoy shopping in Haridwar and Rishikesh.

After breakfast departure to Dairport or Railway station as per your schedule

After breakfast , departure to Delhi and proceed to your home destination as per your schedule. We can speak on this and add this as this an optional activities for Chardham Yatra. -----------------Good Bye !-------------- Why do travel agents or transporters or Driver charge extra for the excursions sites like Chopta-Mana-Triyugi Narayan- Neel Kanth Mahadev etc onm Chardham ruote ? Tourism dependants like local driver in Chardham Yatra places in Himalayan Mountain have limited opportunities to earn for their daily livelihood. They are highly dependent on this seasonal business which is hardly come on peak for 30 days. In this limited span of time they need to work hard for their family. So the local drivers associations and other small organizations supported by Uttarakhand Tourism & Travel Association (UKTTA) believes that they should have a nominal charges extra on these kind of excursions which will be a side income other than their fixed daily wageses. So this is also our request being a responsible tourism activist to our pilgrim not to be panic or hesitant or reluctant in giving any nominal amount to these communities. They deserve this being real heroes of this Yatra. The advisable charges for the excursions altogether are Triyugi Narayan Temple +Chopta + Mana (3500 Per Small Vehicle Till 03-04 Seated / 4500 Per Mid Size SUV for 06-07 People/ 5500 Rs for 12 Seats and above).
